On-Site Health & Safety Administrator

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

- Proficiently administer clerical duties in regards to health and safety
- Collect and communicate health and safety information back to main office and company's health and safety officer
- Conduct company health and safety orientation to new or returning employee's
- Conduct daily tailboard meetings
- Perform assessments on heavy equipment operators
- Evaluate and train new Heavy Equipment Operators
Working Conditions:
- Most work will be performed in an office environment
- Some work is performed outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
- Willingness and ability to travel out of town to perform work
- Must provide steel toe boots
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Excellent communication skills are required
- Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Time management skills
- Must be honest and trustworthy, respectful, flexible and have an excellent work ethic
- Must have an excellent understanding of Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act and Manitoba's Safety and Health Legislation
- Must have a good understanding of Ontario's labour laws
- Experience working in the construction field would be an asset
- Must have heavy equipment experience in order to evaluate and train new heavy equipment operators
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary:
- Construction: 5 years (Required)
- Health and Safety: 3 years (Required)
- Heavy equipment operator: 5 years (Preferred)

- High school or equivalent (Required)

License or certification:

- Valid G Drivers License (Required)
